About Me
Lars Wittebrood is an IT cyber security Sales Engineer, with more than 20 years experience in data centre, private cloud and security infrastructures. He also has more than 3 years experience in public cloud. He has a background in system administraton, (technical) infrastructure and private and public cloud solution design.
Lars has a passion for finding and designing the best possible (security) solution for a specific ask or requirement and describing and presenting it. He thrives on finding solutions for technical IT and security challenges. He considers himself a ‘forever student’, eager to learn and apply new technologies to solving problems in his work.
Lars has succesfully led several technical data centre and cloud infrastructure design projects for both enterprise and government customers. He has also consultancy (advising), commercial, service management and product development skills.
Lars is currently a technical IT cyber security pre sales engineer, helping customers with their cyber security challenges and getting them the right solutions for their security problems.
Open source software in general, and the FreeBSD operating system in particular, is a hobby of Lars. He owns the SoCruel.NU domain on the internet and designs, implements, manages, uses and secures the SoCruel.NU infrastructure and open source software running on it in his spare time. He has been doing this for more than 20 years.
He also loves cooking on his barbecues, listening to U2 music and playing tabletennis.
